Mardi Gras
2007
The ambiguous,
enigmatic, Master welcomes
all viewers
to "the most amazing show on earth",
asking
the viewers and his "slumbering toys",
"Do you
want to come and play?"
The "Master's" favorite toy, the "Lady behind the Mask".
The "Master"
rouses his toys from their stasis to come and play.
The "toys"
chant a fortune,
"Oh fortune
(fate), like the moon, you are changable."
Singing
of masks of shapes, colors and images,
and the
faces behind them,
the "toys"
bring out one more toy, a clown, whose message, "I love you",
immediately
entrances the Master's "Lady behind the mask".
The "Lady
behind the Mask" sings, "Funny face, I love you",
as the
Master waves his staff to remind her she is HIS toy!
The clown
takes the Lady's mask, as she returns to her Master.
